Style blogs!

Wednesday 24 April 2013

Recently I've fallen a little in love with style blogs. I often get stuck for ideas on putting outfits together and I find these really do inspire and give you ideas on dressing outfits and accessorizing. So here are my top 6 style blogs!

1. http://zoella-style.tumblr.com

I have quite a similar style to Zoe, obviously there are things she wears that I won't wear myself, and visa versa, but this blog is one of my favorites. The people that own the blog clearly put a lot of time and effort into answering peoples questions, finding things Zoe has worn, helping people with choices, and putting together little collages of Zoe inspired outfits. I've noticed plenty of people on twitter mentioning how they wish they could find somewhere where they can see Zoe's style, and I always recommend this site. I always check it everytime I get paid to see if there's anything they've mentioned that I like, and there usually always is. It's a great place if you have a style that's similar to Zoe's as all the clothes are very much her, and I love how they find exact clothes as well.

Now, I don't watch this beauty guru personally, but I do really like her style, and I love the outfits that the owner of this blog puts together. They're all very pretty and a little girly, which matches my style well. I wouldn't wear an awful lot of these outfits, as they personally wouldn't suit me, but  I still love looking at the posts as they still give me inspiration and I just love the taste in fashion on this blog.

The Carrie Diaries is one of my favorite TV shows, the outfits on there just make me swoon and wish I had a lovely mature style like that, so this blog is perfect. The outfits are unbelievably pretty and adorable, and quite colorful in some cases, but the owner of this blog does a very good job at finding the outfits and putting the posts together!

Now I'm not the hugest fan of Lucy hale's fashion myself, she does dress maturely and she pulls the clothes off AMAZINGLY, but they're not for me. However, on this blog I absolutely adore the Aria posts! I've spent ages watching pretty little liars and just admiring their clothes, Aria being my favorite with her fashion choices, so when I found this blog it was a lifesaver.  I always find myself checking this blog when I'm shopping online to see if there's anything I like, and there usually always is!

When I first got tumblr I remember reblogging loads of fashion posts and wishing I owned clothes like that. What this blog does is it finds where I can get either exact or similar pieces to ones in the pictures, you can even request some as well if you have a picture in mind. This is always on my checklist of fashion tumblr's to check, and if I ever see a picture of an outfit I like I always send it in and hope they can help.

6. http://stylemedeleanor.tumblr.com

What I have with this blog is that I like the inspired posts the most. I'm not the hugest fan of the girls, but some of their outfits are just beautiful. I think out of all the posts, I like Perrie's style the most. There's a lot of clothes she wears that I'd probably never wear myself, but there's an awful lot more clothes and accessories that If I could afford, I'd buy! They do a good job at finding exacts on this blog, and I really like how they have a 'dress for less' section.

Do any of you guys like looking at style blogs? If so comment some down below and share them with the rest of us, I love looking at new blogs, you never know what you can find!

Life Choices

Tuesday 23 April 2013

I know I'm only 17, and I don't know much about life choices, but there is something I wish I could have told 'leaving school Amy', and that is, don't.

I left school about a year ago now, and let's just say I had some 'career problems'. I didn't know what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, or what I wanted to achieve. As the later to the end of the year it got, the more pressure got put on me on to decide on something and apply for college/sixth form. I went to endless career advisors and spoke about what I was going to do, but I was still clueless. As a last minute decision I chose to do beauty therapy, so just before study leave, I applied and got in. Perfect right? Nope. As I went onto study leave and actually thought about it, I realized that leaving school based on a pressured last minute decision really didn't sound clever. So I applied for sixth form, got in as long as I got the right results, and told the college I no longer needed my place. After the holidays I got the results I needed for sixth form and done the 2 induction weeks. Let's just say we got an AWFUL lot of work to do before we came back in the new school term. It got to the day before going back when I realized I hadn't done any of my work, I panicked and thought that I wouldn't be able to cope with the work If I did go back. Guess what silly Amy did? She quit sixth form and asked for her college place back. Luckily I got it back and started the course and loved it. 6 months down the line and then I quit. So now I'm stuck for the year with nothing to do, and still nothing planned for next year.

If you took the time to read that then thank you, the whole point in it is that I should have stayed at school. It would have given me a lot more options rather than leaving me stuck. Now I'm not saying everyone should stay at school, because you don't need too, but if you are like I was then I really would recommend it. If you're not fully set on what you want to do, staying on really would be the best idea, I wish I could go back and I can't, but if you're reading this and you're in the same situation, please re think.

I'd love to go on and do a course in film and television or something like that next year, but unfortunatlely none of the colleges in my area offer it, they only offer media, and yes, there is a difference. So just be careful with your life choices and options, because you can make any choose there is, but if it's the wrong one there will be consequences.

Holiday!

Sunday 21 April 2013

As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently got back from a lovely holiday in Spain! Here's some pictures from my week.

This is a picture from the lunch area, they actually had a different place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it was all you can eat! I love this picture because the background is just beautiful, although you can see that I wasn't eating or drinking healthy!

This is a picture of our room, it was quite big and had a flat screen TV and everything! All inclusive never fails. As you can see I was still unpacking and this was taken on the 3rd day, I'm pretty slow!

Our hotel had some stairs leading down to the beach (an awful lot of stairs may I add), and part of the way down they had a little circle outlined by a wall surrounded by chipmunks! Every day we took some bread and water down to feed them, they were so scared, but so cute! I love nothing more than feeding these little creatures, them taking the bread of your hand is such a wonderful feeling! These are some of the photographs I took. During some points they even let us feed the drink to them, they drunk it out of the cup whilst we were holding it, and it was so lovely to see them not being scared of you.

I would upload more but sadly my dad has the rest and he won't let me use his camera which sucks, but this is just a quick post to show you some of the photo's I took, I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to enter my giveaway!

UPDATE

Thursday 18 April 2013

I haven't posted in quite a long time, 27 days to be exact (if my maths is right that is). You haven't missed much, but let me update you anyway!

On 3rd April I went on holiday, whoo! It started off with a horrible 4 hour flight in which I was feeling pretty ill during, but I got through it. To add to that, planes terrify me! I left pretty early and ended up landing in Fuerteventura, The Canary Islands, Spain at about 1/2ish pm, which of course meant we landed when the sun was at it's hottest! Some of you may know that Fuerteventura can be known for it's winds, so the landing was an absolute bumpy scary delight! It took about an hour and a half to get to our hotel from the airport, and 'Hotel Club Jandia Princess' was beautiful. I'll stop here for now because there will be a later post explaining more and with some lovely little pictures, so stay tuned if you want to see that!

On 4th April it was my 17th birthday! So that meant waking up to the sun and warm weather, which you can imagine! made the birthday ten times better than being in rainy depressing England. I got to open some of my cards and presents abroad which was good, and I spent the day lounging by the pool drinking non-alcoholic cocktails and enjoying the view. I finished the day off with an all-you-can-eat buffet (nothing better than that) and watching the hotel doing a live show of grease!

Sorry this post has been A* boring but it will improve, I promise. I will be blogging more and some clues as to what I've got planned may be a holiday diary blog, my birthday presents, some reviews, some inspiring and motivational blog posts and some of my favourite bloggers!

P.S. Did you know I have a giveaway going on? See my previous post to win a Nars Cream Blush of your choice!
